Key Question
New ESG reporting requirements:
How can SMEs’ challenges be addressed with the ‘esg2go’ rating and reporting tool?
What are the new requirements?
Since January 2024, large companies will increasingly be asking SMEs for sustainability certification in order to meet new legal requirements and new certification and monitoring obligations. But what does ‘credible’ sustainability mean, and is it worthwhile for SMEs to invest in sustainability certification? These questions take centre stage, with a focus on practical approaches such as using esg2go as an SME self-analysis tool.
At our online event, the new legal requirements for credible and recognised sustainability certification will be summarised. Various representatives from academia, the public sector and business will discuss how SMEs should best manage the new sustainability regulations. At the forefront will be the question of whether sustainability is more than a risk and cost factor, and to what extent there is a ‘return on investment’ for SMEs.
The esg2go instrument
esg2go is an ESG rating and reporting system that enables companies to create a scientifically supported sustainability certificate in a simple and practical way. A key feature of the system is that data only needs to be entered once to ensure compatibility with the various certification provisions (including climate certification). This is why esg2go is widely accepted on the market. esg2go makes it possible to communicate on sustainability in general and climate emissions in particular in a way that is measurable, comparable and therefore credible, thereby promoting transparency.
