Prof. Dr. Philipp Aerni is Director of the Center for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CCRS) and also Professor for Sustainability and Impact Entrepreneurship at the School of Management Fribourg (HEG-FR). He received his Masters Degree in Geography (with Minors in Environmental Science and Economics) from the University of Zurich and his PhD in Agricultural Economics from ETH Zürich. Prior to his position at CCRS, Dr. Aerni worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, the Institute for Environmental Decisions at ETH Zurich, the World Trade Institute at the University of Berne as well as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). Philipp Aerni is also a senior lecturer at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. Among numerous other engagements, he is a member of the Jury of the Swiss Family Business Award, the Forum Genetic Research (SCNAT), and Liberethica (a Platform on ethics, business and religion). As an interdisciplinary social scientist he is interested in the role entrepreneurship and innovation as potential driving forces for inclusive and sustainable change.
Prof. Dr. Philipp Aerni ist Direktor des Center for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CCRS) und auch Professor for Sustainability and Impact Entrepreneurship an der Hochschule für Wirtschaft Freiburg (HSW-FR). Er studierte Geographie, Umweltwissenschaften und Ökonomie an der Universität Zürich und doktorierte in Agrarökonomie an der ETH Zürich. Vor seiner Tätigkeit am CCRS arbeitete Dr. Aerni als Postdoktorand an der Harvard Kennedy School, am Institut für Umweltentscheidungen der ETH Zürich, am Welthandelsinstitut (WTI) der Universität Bern sowie als Projektleiter bei der Welternährungsorganisation der Vereinten Nationen (FAO). Philipp Aerni ist zudem Lehrbeauftragter an der ETH Zürich und der Universität Zürich. Neben zahlreichen anderen Engagements ist er Mitglied der Jury des Swiss Family Business Award, des Forums Genforschung (SCNAT) und von Liberethica (einer Plattform für Ethik, Wirtschaft und Religion). Als interdisziplinärer Sozialwissenschaftler interessiert er sich für die Rolle von Unternehmertum und Innovation als potenzielle Triebkräfte für einen integrativen und nachhaltigen Wandel.

Avant de rejoindre le CCRS, le Dr Aerni a travaillé comme post-doctorant à la Harvard Kennedy School, à l'Institut pour les décisions environnementales de l'ETH Zurich, à l'Institut du commerce Mondial (WTI) de l'Université de Berne et à l'Organisation des Nations unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture (FAO). Philipp Aerni est également chargé de cours à l'EPFZ et à l'Université de Zurich. Outre de nombreux autres engagements, il est membre du jury du Swiss Family Business Award, du Forum Recherche génétique (SCNAT) et de Liberethica (une plateforme pour l'éthique, l'économie et la religion). En tant que chercheur interdisciplinaire en sciences sociales, il s'intéresse au rôle de l'entrepreneuriat et de l'innovation en tant que moteurs potentiels d'un changement inclusif et durable.
